Boarding your pet at a kennel or boarding facility can be extremely stressful. Not only do you have to put your pet through the stress of travel, but you will be forcing him to spend extended time in an unfamiliar setting around strangers and other pets. Boarding facilities can also put your pet at risk for contracting a communicable disease like Bordetella (or kennel cough). Choosing a pet sitter allows your pet to remain at-home in an environment where he feels safe and it will not interrupt his routine in the way that a boarding facility would.
